Funny Face

I'm not sure why it took me so long to see "Funny Face."

It stars one of my favorite style icons.
The dance sequence in the underground cafe was used in one of my all-time favorite television commercials (not that there's much competition in that genre...).
It's loosely based on one of my favorite photographers.
And the long-sleeve black turtleneck with the short black pants, white socks and black loafers may very well be my favorite Audrey look.

These are all ingredients to make for a successful recipe.
A funny thing is, the opening credits is one of my favorite bits.
Though, I also really enjoyed the photoshoot scenes.

For anyone with an appreciation for photography, fashion, and Richard Avedon.
The plot is rather far-fetched and the story line can drag on a bit, but the visuals are incredible and it has a pleasant sense of humour.

Now, to watch another film loosely based on a famous photography, "Fur."
Again, I'm not sure what has taken me so long to see this!
I love both Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr., and Diane Arbus of course.

Katie, I accidentally deleted your post! Then, mine didn't make sense without it.
